The Faculty of Applied Biology was established under Decision No. 80/2007/QD-DHTD dated September 16, 2008, by the Rector of TDU, following its separation from the Faculty of Basic Sciences.
Currently, the Faculty manages four undergraduate programs:
• Aquaculture
• Food Technology
• Land Management
• Veterinary Medicine
The Faculty places strong emphasis on improving the quality of its training programs in accordance with national standards while promoting regional and international integration.
The Quality Assurance Unit of FAB, established on March 16, 2023, is responsible for advising the Dean on quality assurance, training improvement, and internal quality assurance activities [Exh.Intro.09].
Recognizing the importance of self-assessment in quality enhancement, FAB has continuously implemented self-assessment activities for all programs. In 2025, the Veterinary Medicine program was accredited according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), with certification valid from March 24, 2025, to March 24, 2030.
In addition to teaching, the Faculty actively conducts scientific research with various applied topics in agriculture, meeting both academic and practical needs.
Currently, FAB offers the following programs:
• Aquaculture (Engineer)
• Food Technology (Engineer)
• Land Management (Bachelor)
• Veterinary Medicine (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
FAB is one of the faculties at TDU whose Veterinary Medicine program has been accredited by the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (2025).
Human Resources
As of March 2026, FAB has 30 staff members, including 28 full-time lecturers.
All lecturers hold postgraduate qualifications: 03 Professors (10%), 01 Associate Professor (3.33%), 08 PhDs (26.67%), and 18 Masters (60%)

To provide high-quality human resources and scientific research in agriculture (Aquaculture, Food Technology, Land Management, and Veterinary Medicine), contributing to regional economic growth and community development.
Vision
To become a leading institution in training and research in agriculture in the Mekong Delta and Vietnam.
Training Activities: The Faculty of Applied Biology offers educational programs leading to various degrees across different fields and levels. As of March 2026, the Faculty provides 04 undergraduate programs, as presented in Table 1:
