Recently, lecturers from the Faculty of Applied Biology, Tay Do University, successfully presented the acceptance reports for two basic-level scientific research projects in the first phase of 2026.

1. Project in the field of Aquaculture: “The influence of feeds with different protein content on the growth and survival rate of snakehead fish in the juvenile stage” led by MSc. Tran Ngoc Tuyen, determined that a protein level of 49.7% in industrial feed helps snakehead fish grow well, with a low feed conversion ratio and high protein utilization efficiency. The results contribute to supplementing the scientific basis for the snakehead fish breeding process.

2. Project in the field of Land Management: “Application of remote sensing to assess the impact of urbanization on the ecological space of the outskirts of Phu Quoc Island” led by MSc. The project led by Mai Linh Canh utilized remote sensing and GIS technology to analyze land cover changes from 2000 to 2024. The results showed a significant increase in built-up land area, while forest area decreased and ecological fragmentation increased due to urbanization.

The results of these two projects have been published in specialized scientific journals and applied in teaching, contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research in the Faculty of Applied Biology.
